Post One – ChG Tree Hugger

It's an oldie, but a goodie

For my first post, I’ll show you, as the caption states, an “oldie but a goodie.”  It’s China Glaze Tree Hugger, from the ecollection of Spring 2008, and it took a while to actually find a lighter green that worked with my skin tone. I can wear dark greens just fine, like China Glaze Gussied Up Green or Finger Paints Evergreen Dream, and I was pleasantly surprised with how Tree Hugger came out. 🙂 It’s got this great shimmer/sheen that can be seen if you enlarge the shot by clicking on it.

In fact, it had been an untried for… well, let’s just say, quite some time……….. but when a deep friend challenged me to wear something light green, he was surprised that I actually had quite a few of them.

But as my friend decided he didn’t want to be friends any more, this polish memory is a bit bittersweet. While it is still one of my favorite greens, it’s going to be hard to wear it without associations.

Of course, since those photos were shot, several more light greens have been added to my collection. I’d really like to do comparison posts with my polishes – partially as a resource and partially to help me narrow down my stash.

About Satori

I like soft things. And shoes. And cultures. And nail polish - a lot. I'm an INFP/INFJ depending on the day, left-handed, can understand several conversations in a noisy restaurant from tables nearby and consistently sell myself short. I'd love to become a yoga instructor and aromatherapist. :-)
