China Glaze Midnight Mission topped with China Glaze Fairy Dust
Bach’s Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, from A-M Classical, seems to fit this mani: Midnight Mission applied fairly thick and gloopy, but I think it turned out all right overall.

Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure over China Glaze Side Saddle
This was my Thanksgiving manicure this year. I wanted something festive for the occasion and this in theory seemed like it would work – I was hoping for a falling leaves effect, or something. Let me know if you think … Continue reading
Color Club / Soft as Cashmere
From Color Club’s Fall 2010 collection, “Untamed Luxury,” this is a “trendy” color that’s sure to become a classic. There are so many of this type of color out there, but different manufacturers. Depending on the light, it looks like … Continue reading
Revlon Emerald City
This is really pretty – it’s a deep green that only, always looks green, never black and never too bright. If I’m actually going to wear a polish I can’t go without a topcoat (yes, it’s a personal problem, I … Continue reading
Savvy Shimmer Time
“Shimmer Time” leads me to start singing “Hammer Time.” Wow. Since moving to Los Angeles, I wanted to find a new DAR chapter. I was invited by a State Society officer to the October meeting with her chapter, but blah … Continue reading
Borghese Trevi Gold
After wearing 2 reds in a row, I wanted something different. This polish stunk to high heaven, but it sure is pretty! It’s a perfect autumn neutral, actually, and I’d love to find a dupe because while it’s definitely gold, … Continue reading
Finger Paints Merry Mittens
Somehow, I ended up with all of the “Winter Dreams” collection, which is Finger Paints’ collection for winter 2010. I had coupons and there were sales, so…. But yes, otherwise, I am really trying to be on a polish low-buy. … Continue reading
China Glaze Rainstorm
A super pretty periwinkle in the bottle, this puppy is so sheer it needs a primer coat before even attempting to use Rainstorm. I used Borghese Cannoli Cream – but have no photos of that by itself.
China Glaze Awaken
From its Spring 2009 “Romantique” collection comes a lovely blue-based charcoal. It was fairly smooth, but pretty thick. When I wear this again, I’ll definitely use a lighter hand. You can visibly see this thickness on the ring finger above. … Continue reading
China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald
Are you sure? From China Glaze, Emerald Fitzgerald is one of the gorgeous polishes in its Vintage Vixen collection for Fall 2010.
